What I remember most about this show is touring it at the opening with my uncle Stanley, by then old & frail, and post-stroke, but who graciously came anyway to be supportive, though all of it baffled him. Uncle Stanley is Stanley Knowles, Tommy's [Tommy Douglas] old friend, then Clerk of the House (thank you Pierre Trudeau) formerly MP for Winnipeg North Centre, a founder of the NDP, and a CCFer before that. Always a great campaigner--Andy Patton. P.S. On p.125 you'll find one terrible typo, corrected here by hand which, as you'll see, changes everything." Good provenance, more information available on request.
