Some photos numbered in the plate, others not, some marked Frith's Series. Full white parchment with gilt borders and designs to boards and red outlines by hand in ink, gilt stamped, "Italia" to the front board, with fully gilt stamped spine and Binder's name, G. Marchionni, Roma, in gilt to the spine foot. All edges dyed red, marbled endpapers. The Album begins in Innsbruck, June 22, 1880 and spans 6 months' travel, ending in Monaco and Monte Carlo in December, 1880. Photographs show travel to Munich, Salzburg, Ischl, Nuremberg, Stuttgart, Switzerland, Savoy, Baden, Black Forest, Rhine, Dusseldorf, Copenhagen, Sweden, Stockholm, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Warsaw, Berlin, Potsdam, Hannover, Wilhelmshohe, Cologne, Metz, Reims, Paris, Turin, San Remo, Monaco, and Monte Carlo. Most images of scenery, landscapes, architecture, some images of nobility, portraits, monuments, costume etc. Light discoloration and ink staining around the board edges, with the rear endpaper torn along the top edge, else a clean and tight album in a nicely preserved binding.
