School Yearbook/newsletter of Appleby School, Oakville, Ontario. Published three times a Year. The first 40 issues in three volumes, from #1 (March 1916) to #40 (June 1931). Sewn into three large blue buckram volumes with gilt lettered spines, keeping the original wrappers. Also bound-in are #46 (March 1938) and #61 (June 1953 ). Issue 9 , Dec. 1918 with large piece missing from lower front wrapper without loss to text, otherwise all issues in very good condition. Vol. I, No. 4- March 1917 contains, on three unnumbered pages, Are School Boys Happy? by Stephen Leacock. Previous owner's signature in vols. 1&2, buckram covers very lightly scuffed and soiled, otherwise a very nice set. From the library of David G. Guest, son of the first Headmaster.
