Frontis portrait and facsimile of Byron's handwriting, and 45 wood-engraved plates, mainly by Cruikshank, plus 8 additional copper plates inserted from a later edition, juxtaposed with the woodcuts. Bound in later 19th century half navy calf over marbled paper boards, ornately gilt spine in compartments between raised bands, red morocco label, gilt, t.e.g. Minor wear to extremities of binding, sporadic light marginal foxing and browning to text and plates, but overall a nice copy in an elegant later binding. An Extra-Illustrated copy of the First Edition.
