Bound in contemporary full polished calf, double gilt ruled borders, medical college crest stamped in gilt on front cover, spine elaborately gilt in compartments between raised bands, marbled endpapers, a.e.g. Minor rubbing to extremities, title and preliminaries foxed, sporadic foxing throughout, but on the whole a nice clean copy internally in handsome and well-preserved contemporary binding. The fourth edition of Doering's "truly excellent" edition of Horace (Dibdin), first published in 1803, and now corrected by Regel.
