Sympathetically rebacked, 5 raised bands, gilt-ruled spine and ornaments in the compartments, gilt-stamped leather spine label, corners invisibly mended. Overall, a very good, handsome copy. Front free blank and title-page contain the ink signature of A.R. Boswell (1838-1925), who served for one term (1883-85) as Mayor of Toronto, Ontario Canada, winning by only 5 votes!
