First Edition. 8vo. Original Cloth. Rare inscription with signature of Capt. J.E. Bernier F.R.G.S.: "Capt. J.E. Bernier F.R.G.S / 27 Fraser Street, Levis [Quebec] / Complements. 1926." The book is presumed to have been the property of a member of Bernier's crew, name unknown. Pp. xviii, 573 (includes a Vocabulary of Igloolik), 75 photo reproductions, 2 folding maps. Original dark green cloth with mounted photo of the Minnie Maud, black cover and spine lettering. Recently re-cased. Light wear to the spine ends, but overall clean and tight. A nice copy.
