Full navy-blue French Levant with wide gilt decorated border to both upper and lower boards, 5 raised bands with gilt decorated compartments, gilt title direct to spine, large turn-ins with 5 gilt rules, marbled endpapers. All edges gilt, with gilt to fore-edge looking a bit tarnished because of the FORE-EDGE PAINTING hidden beneath of a portrait of Blake in a box to the left, and a reproduction of Blake's 'Newton' in a box to the right of the portrait, both the portrait and reproduction utilize a black background which probably adds to the tarnished effect of the fore-edge gilt. Pp. xxxvi, 384, folding frontispiece facsimile, plus double-page facsimile within text. Signature of Liliore Green dated June 13, 1928 at head of front blank with the name Dolly at tail of front blank. Dolly and Liliore were the two oldest daughters of American oilman and real estate developer, Burton Edmond Green who was critical in the development of Beverly Hills, California. The Liliore Green Rains Houses, one of the largest housing complexes on the campus of Stanford University, is named for Liliore. Spine a tad dulled, else a very good, clean, crisp copy with a beautiful fore-edge painting. Handsome on the shelf.
