Hardcover. Very Good. Item #42334

Mostly Paris: circa 1927-1928. Five separate foreign language works, each of them bound in stencil-papered boards, of various patterns and colours, with uniform manuscript titles to paper labels of five. Lady Eaton's illustrated bookplate to pastedowns of four of these items, and her signature to the front endpaper of two. Works include: (1) LE CRIME DE SYLVESTRE BONNARD, by Anatole France (Calmann-Lévy, n.d.); (2) MIA MADRE, by Marino Moretti (Fratelli Treves, 1928); (3) AU COEUR DE LA VIE, by Pierre de Coulevain (Calmann-Lévy, n.d.); (4) MUSSOLINI. L'HOMME ET LE CHEF, by Marguerite G. Sarfatti (Albin Michel, 1927); and (5) LES SILENCES DE COLONEL BRAMBLE, by André Maurois (Grasset, 1927). Water staining to the front board of one volume, washing away some of the pattern, but otherwise nice clean volumes.

Price (CAD): $300.00
