First edition. 8vo. xxiv, 361pp. Bound without the 30 page publisher's catalogue at rear in full smooth tan calf with gilt decorated spine compartments and gilt lettered spine label. The boards with a few light scratches and small indentations to the rear board. The spine sunned and a little scuffed at the lower two compartments, joints with light cracks in the leather, only to the surface, lightly bumped corners, the boards are tight, hinges strong and the text block square. Light foxing but overall very clean. Binding by F. Bedford, signed recto the front endpaper.
