Titles in red and black with engraved printer's devices, 4 copper-engraved frontises, including a portrait by Vertue, and 2 folding tables. Contemporary calf, later rebacked with blind-ruled smooth spine, morocco labels, gilt, endpapers renewed. Covers worn at extremities and a bit scuffed, corners of first volume exposed and rounded. Light browning of leaves throughout, very occasional foxing; otherwise a very clean, attractive set. A reprint of the 1765 edition, by R. Stephens, J. Locker, and T. Birch, described by Lowndes (I, 93) as a "beautiful and accurate edition"
