4 years of The Grip Magazine bound in 2 volumes. Volume 1 contains years 1884-86 and is the most damaged. [1884] Volume XXI, no. 1, 2, 12, 16. No. 1: first page detached, several repairs to 2-4 sheet, 3rd sheet has a piece of cartoon excised, pgs. 12, 13, 17 with rip to the edges. No. 2: Light water staining, small tear bottom of pags, 5-8. No. 12: Small water stain for 8 pages, small rips and repairs. No. 16: Piece removed from one page, small tears and paper repairs. [1885] Vol. XXIV, Nos. 15, 17-23, 25-26 (includes litho of Mr. Bell). Vol. XXV, Nos. 1-11, 16. [1886] Vol. XXV, Nos. 27. Vol. XXVI, Nos.1-26. Vol. XXVII, 1, 3-19, 23-25. 1884-86 bound in brown cloth, gilt spine lettering, exterior worn, cloth at front joint split but the binding is tight and solid. 1887 bound in blue cloth with gilt lettered front board and spine, worn at extremities, front joint cloth split, inside hinges split but also holding well.
