10 volumes in green cloth with gilt stamped spines. Spines a little dulled and sunned, spine head of Emma (vol. 1) with two small tears in the cloth. Top edges gilt. Endpapers with the first and last few pages foxed, with very light foxing throughout. Bindings are tight and square. Housed in a green cloth slipcase which is soiled and worn at the corners, but still sturdy. First issued in 1898 by Grant Richards in London, the Winchester Edition was re-issued in 1906 by John Grant of Edinburgh.
