1913-1917. Complete in 22 volumes, but without the Index volume. Authors' Edition, limited to 875 numbered sets, this no. 578. With numerous gravures, plates, portraits, facsimiles and maps (many maps in colour). Publisher's sumptuous full crushed levant morocco, wide raised bands, with gilt to spine and gilt crest to upper boards. Top edges gilt, dentelles. Printed on all-rag watermarked paper. A near fine set, clean, bindings tight and square. Ink name to front endpaper. The lightest bit of rubbing to some spots, one volume with light rubbing at head of spine, doesn't take away from the great look of this set. Shiny and very well kept. A bright and sharp set in virtually unharmed leather.
