The fourth edition. Folio. [36], 385, 384-454, 457-822, [46] p. Includes the engraved title-page, and the bifolium bearing "A catalogue of writers, both antient and modern, out of whom this chronicle has been collected" (bound between A4 and a1), wihtout the "printed by E. Cotes, for G. Saubridg ... and T. Williams" imprint. With the vertical half-title (4F4r) reading: Baker's Chronicle. Complete and continuous despite pagination. A couple pages with very small circular cigarette stains (not burnt through), but otherwise very clean throughout and the paper bright. Illustrated title-page with a couple of expert repairs to just the tip of the plate and a short tear reapired. Bound in 18th century full calf with blind stamped border to front and rear board, recently rebacked, with devices in blind to the spine compartments, bands outlined in gilt, date at the spine foot in gilt and gilt title upon black leather spine. A very clean and readable copy in a strong binding.
