Folio. Pp. 124, [4] ads, frontis and 10 full-page engravings drawn from life by T. W. Wood. All edges gilt. Bookplate of previous owner to the paste-down endpaper, with a couple of small pieces of scotch tape to the front endpaper. Light foxing to the front endpaper and to the upper margin of the first few pages, but otherwise clean throughout, the binding tight and square, in the publisher's original blue cloth with gilt spine lettering and a large gilt stamped pheasant to the front board bordered in gilt with blind-stamped borders. The spine ends and corners with light wear/rubbing and a couple of small ink stains to the front board. Nice copy overall.
