8vo. Pp. iii, 276, [3]. Edition of 1550 copies, this copy not numbered. Illustrated with black and white, and coloured plates by Jean de Bosschere. Bound in half crimson morocco over interesting red paper boards and matching endpapers. Spine with gilt lettering to two compartments within gilt borders and gilt floral devices filling the other compartments. The board corners lightly rubbed, with some light wear to the spine end corners. Top edge gilt, Binding signed by Whitman Bennett N.Y. Interesting paper used for the boards and endpapers, almost appears hand-painted, with some light stress chipping to some of the places where more paint was applied. Handsome copy.
