1953-1972. UK first editions, first printings of each volume. Dust jackets price clipped, volume 1 and 2 with ink inscription to the front endpaper, sharp and bright set overall. From the estate of Barbara Meadowcroft, feminist scholar associated with the Simone de Beauvoir Institute in Montreal. Also, the author of an important history of the Beaver Hall Group called Painting Friends, a group of painters in Montreal in the 1930's and '40's composed mainly of women. The inscription in the first two books are from her husband.
