Large 8vo. Pp. vii, 62, with 16 plates, 15 are numbered, rear plate not, this issue without the portrait of the author. In the original green cloth with gilt title to the spine, blind-stamped board decorations. A little ink stain to upper cover, a couple of tears in the cloth at the edges and spine ends, the covers dulled from likely light water staining but still rather clean and not nasty, interior fresh and the binding tight, a couple of browned pages and a short marginal tear to one page. Paste-down with old booksellers' cat. clippings tipped-in. Inscribed by the author. "Presented to James Johnson, Esq./ By the Author / October 1863."
