First edition. 8vo. Pp. 254, [2] ads. Tissue-guarded frontis illustration by L. Raven Hill. In the publisher's red cloth with decorated front board and spine in blind, with gilt lettering. One corner and the spine ends bumped and the cloth a little rubbed, one small spot of discolouration to lower edge of front board, ink name and date to the front endpaper, name scribbled over with blue ink. Clean throughout and the binding tight and square. Scarce first novel by William Caine.
