Dust jacket present, clean and bright, but with a large chip to the spine head and foot, small chips to corners, one larger chip to rear cover corner, tears and creases and a darkened and scuffed spine. The original price of 7s.6d. to spine foot covered with a revised price of 3s.6d. Issued as part of The Novels and Stories of Henry James (New and Complete Edition), which appeared in two formats: the standard 8vo in jacket, and the smaller Pocket Edition. Scarce in dust jacket.
