4to. Pp. 176, [1], with 88 leaves of plates, with 2 views per page, for a total of 176 engraved views of Paris and surrounding areas. Later expanded with more plates, and appearing a couple years later in 2 volumes. Title-page darkened, likely different paper used than remainder of the text, engraved title with very light foxing, clean throughout otherwise, the text and plates bright and with minimal foxing, for the most part really bright and free of foxing. In a contemporary full green leather binding with blind stamped border and triple gilt fillets to covers, title in gilt on maroon leather label, with gilt stamped compartments. Light rubbing to the leather, a small crack in the front joint at the foot, with rubbed spine ends, but strong and square, and overall a nice clean copy. Drawings made under the direction of Mr. Pugin, and engraved under the superintendance of Mr. C. Heath.
