8vo. pp. 198, [2] (ads). Publisher's blue cloth, gilt titles to spine and upper board, with a white stamped illustration at the lower corner. The white stamping is largely chipped away-as in most surviving copies-with light scuffing and faint soiling to the boards; edges darkened, corners lightly rubbed, spine ends slightly pushed, and the spine mildly sunned. Embossed bookseller's stamp to upper right corner of front endpaper; endpapers somewhat darkened. Text clean throughout; binding tight and square. With tissue-guarded frontispiece and three additional illustrations. Scarce in this blue-cloth variant and in quite good condition overall.
