Very light wear to the spine ends, and the corners lightly rubbed. The endpapers have been repaired over the hinges, front and rear, and the folding diagram facing page 117 has had a 3 inch tear expertly repaired. The binding is tight and square and the contents clean throughout. This is the second edition, second issue in variant binding a, with fifth thousand on the title page and inserted advertisements dated January 1860. With the original bill of sale loosely laid in from seller Wheldon & Wesley Ltd., UK.[Freeman, 376. P.85].
