No date, c. 1882. 4to. (250 x 200 mm). [52p.] Pictorial paper boards and a green cloth spine. Heavy wear to the board edges, with scratched and soiled boards, rear board a bit discoloured, with creases and just general signs of wear. The book is near fine inside, save for one short tear in the second plate. The front endpaper is the half-title and frontis, and the rear endpaper is the last page of text, with the appropriate offsetting to match the paste-down indentations. With six chromolithographs; The Yellow Dwarf, Ali Baba, Prince Cherry, The Three Bears, Hop O'my Thumb, and Florinda & Yoringal. With numerous other illustrations in black and white throughout the text, and as head and tail-pieces by Henry Justice Ford and others. With all the edge-wear and scratching, the book cover is still good overall and attractive. A rare book. Only 1 copy located at the Osborne Collection.
