[1899] First edition. 8vo. 311p. [8]- ads. Publisher's illustrated cloth and spine, with front board lettering in red and in gilt to the spine. Much of the gilt on the front board image has rubbed away, the image is still strong, cloth at the corners is rubbed, with bumping and rubbing to the spine ends. Ink name on the front endpaper, with offsetting to the endpapers, else clean and free of spotting. The paper over the rear hinge has started. A good, clean copy in all. With two black and white illustrations by T. W. Henry.
