4 volumes. Publisher's oatmeal coloured buckram with gilt titles to front boards and spine. Top edges gilt, other edges untrimmed. Light bumping to the corners, one corner with light wear to the cloth. Boards a little age-toned, with a small stain to the front cover of volume 1 and light foxing to the endpapers, else a very good and clean set in tight and square bindings. 300 full-page plates in colour afre drawings by Mrs. Henry Perrin, with text and notes by Professor Boulger, F.L.S. Edition of 1000 numbered copies, this is no. 598. Nice set.
