New York: The Macmillan Company, 1932. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good / Good. Item #6036
8vo. 352p. Pale blue cloth with red and black lettering. Uneven fading to the spine and board edges, light overall but with heavier fade to the spine ends matching jacket chipping. The book is clean and the binding tight and square. Price clipped dust jacket with art by Boris Artzybasheff. Jacket chipped at the corners, with worn and creased flap folds, and chipping to the spine ends touching on some of the lettering in the author's name and publisher stamp to the foot. One piece of tape to the verso and marks from two other pieces of tape. Remains a good clean copy of the First American edition of this Phillpotts title, uncommon and often lacking the dust jacket.
