Full green straight grained calf by Zaehnsdorf, with gilt fillet borders, 5 raised bands, with dark green title labels and fleuron and filigree compartments, inner dentelles and green marbled endpapers, all edges gilt, with the original green silk ribbon page marker. Bottom fore-edge corners very lightly bumped, with the tiniest bit of scuffing to a couple of spots, but really a very near fine copy. Frontispiece and 181 vignette illustrations by Hugh Thomson.
