Original map from an Ortelius Pocket Atlas (German edition). KEERBERGEN-HULSIUS (1604). Copper engraved map, hand coloured. Sheet/map dimensions [120 x 170mm]. Small tear in bottom left hand corner. Other wise great condition. Map shows Poland and Lithuania, detailing town names and some forested areas. Hungary is shown at the bottom of the map. Abraham Ortelius (1527-1598) was a cartographer and geographer, who is known today as the creator of the modern atlas.
