No date, c.1902. The third edition. Folio bound in 8's. Publisher's original green cloth with heavily gilt decorated front board and spine, showing a mining scene, engraved by P. Souze. Light rubbing to the board tips and the cloth at the spine ends a little rubbed and scuffed, with a faint and thin water stain along the spine. All edges gilt, patterned blue endpapers and only very light foxing to the half-title. Overall a clean copy in a tight and square binding. Text in French. Illustrated with easily over 100 black and white line drawings, photographs, maps etc. Nice copy.
