London: William Pickering, 1828. First Edition. Leather. Very Good. Item #6721
3 volumes. Post octavo. Pp. x, 353; iv, 370; iv, 428. Errors in pagination in volume first, 218 & 219 as 118 & 119, with a numbering error beginning at p.257, which reads 259, but the poem is complete and the text continuous with the incorrect numbering continuing to the end, with two pagination errors in volume 3. Half brown calf with 2 gilt lettered spine labels and 3 gilt decorated compartments over marbled paper boards, with matching marbled endpapers and text block edges. Bookplate of Thomas Conolly to the front paste-down endpaper and shelf sticker in each volume. Light foxing to the blanks, else clean and tight throughout with only light wear and rubbing to the board edges and corners, with some scuffing to the leather. Very good overall. Twelve copies of this edition were also printed on large paper. The collection was reprinted the following year and contains the Author's final selection after his great dissatisfaction with this edition. First collected edition of Coleridge's Poems. Scarce. Wise, III, (1).
